Mouse Loves Cookies Movement Cards and Posters allows students to “act out” the elements of the story. These cards and posters work well as brain breaks or for story enactment when the teacher reads the book.
As students become more familiar with the book they can begin to sequence the story learning about the beginning, middle and end of the story.
The Mouse Movement Cards paraphrase words in the story and suggested movements for kinesthetic learners.
Kinesthetic learners learn best when they can move around and engage their small and large muscle groups. Oftentimes, kinesthetic learners feel their way of learning isn’t as good because they can’t “sit and do the work,” but there are lots of ways to maximize their learning style.
A kinesthetic-tactile learning style requires that you manipulate or touch material to learn. Kinesthetic-tactile techniques are used in combination with visual and/or auditory study techniques, producing multi-sensory learning.
This set of 15 movement cards can be cut out, laminated and put on a ring. The posters can either be printed and posted on a bulletin board or used digitally on an overhead projector.
